The Kuwait Indian Badminton Club organized its 1st open tournament on 20th February, 2015 in Ajial sports club in Al Rawda. The tournament has competition in two categories which is professional open doubles and advanced open doubles with total contestant of 64 players, 32 teams from 4 different clubs and different nationalities (India, Indonesia, Philippines, Egypt, Pakistan and Sri Lanka).
The most prominent open doubles partners Bastian James Kanichay & Aneef K Latheef wins the nerve-racking final against Jabbar Farooqi and Bader partner to secure the title of KIBC 1st PROFESSIONAL OPEN DOUBLES CHAMPION. They were the only teams unbeaten in all the stages of this tournament.
On the other side Mohamed Nurrohim & Karjan partner wins the nail-biting final against Mohammed Guthus & Muradh Niyas and wrapped the title of KIBC 1st ADVANCED OPEN DOUBLES CHAMPION.
ADVANCED OPEN DOUBLES CATEGORY
The Advanced doubles category has 20 teams in total which was divided into 4 pools and each teams played against each other in the group to determine the top two teams from each pool to enter the Quarter Finals.
The top two teams from each group qualified to the Quarter final which is a knock out format and the winner of Quarter finalists were played in the semi-finals, the winner of semifinalists played the final to secure the title and the loser of the semifinalist played to secure the 3rd and 4th position.
At end of the game battle the teams were secured the championship, runner up, 3rd and 4th places are:
Champion - Mohamed Nurrohim & Karjan
Runner Up - Mohamed Guthus & Muradh Niyas
3rd Place - Aqis E & Sampurna
4th Place - Joby & Don
PROFESSIONAL OPEN DOUBLES CATEGORY
The Professional doubles category has 12 teams in total which was divided into 2 pools and each teams played against each other in the group to determine the top four teams from each group to enter the Quarter Finals.
The top four teams from each group qualified to the Quarter final which is a knock out format and the winner of Quarter finalists were played in the semi-finals, the winner of semifinalists played the final to secure the title and the loser of the semifinalist played to secure the 3rd and 4th position.

The prizes been awarded to the winners by the chief guest of the event Mr. Abdulla Mohammad Al Hudaib who represent on behalf of Ajial sports club.
