UIS epitomises a saga of victory as always in the interschool basketball tournament feathering themselves with winning titles in different categories bringing laurels unto themselves and to their esteemed institution. UIS equals basketball innovation and relentless competition and this was exquisitely showcased in the recently held interschool basketball tournament organised by the Don Bosco Oratory in the blessed indoors of their institution.UIS swallowed a staggering victory in almost all the categories staying unbeaten and clinching their winning titles.
A long array of 9 vibrant teams represented UIS at the Don Bosco Tournament each team standing out from the rest playing with perfect zeal and beating their opponents to claim their winning titles.... 4 Teams merged victorious. The UIS showcased a fantabulous sportive spirit, extreme discipline and played a fair game.

With UIS it has always been a success story under the fantabulous mentoring and guidance of Mr. Sibi Kurian their coach cum advisor who has been a real drive for the players to march ahead to victory, as is rightly said ,’ We have big yard and big trees, so the loser would have to do a lot of stuff. We have to rake the leaves in front of the court, the side of the court and the back of the court. You'd feel sorry for the loser, but UIS never wants to be raking leaves but instead they want to be the stars of the sports world.
