Kanajar Welfare Association Kuwait  celebrated  fifteenth anniversary

Kanajar Welfare Association Kuwait [KWAK] celebrated their fifteenth anniversary to raise funds for a charitable cause which was presented before a packed audience at the American International School, Maidan Hawally on 13th of February, 2015. The event comprised of melodious songs, foot-tapping dances and a hilarious Konkani drama ‘Maka Nangi’ written by Pradeep Barboza, Paladka.

The proceeds that remained after deducting minimal expenses were INR. 7, 33,024.00-/- (Indian Rupees Seven Lakhs Thirty Three Thousand and Twenty Four only) will be handed over to two needy institutions:

1.Snehalaya Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre in Mangalore.

2.Manasa Rehabilitation Centre in Pamboor, Udupi District.

Br. Joseph Crasta of Snehalaya assured KWAK that the amount received would be used for the purchase of an ambulance which they are in most need of and Sr. Telma of Manasa conveyed that the amount received will be used for CCTV surveillance system in the Manasa premises.

Mr. Antony Victor Miranda – President KWAK expressed his gratitude to all the generous sponsors, well-wishers and the audience who whole-heartedly supported and encouraged KWAK’s new faces and talents for the noble cause of KWAK.
