The 15th edition of His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award (Shift Kuwait 5) announced names of 30 winners from different countries. The result was announced live on Good Evening Kuwait, a live event in Kuwait TV Channel 1.
Among the winners were eight from Kuwait, six from Egypt, four from Palestine, three from Yemen, two from Iraq and one from Jordan, Libya, Ageria, Eritrea, Syria, India and the Comoros, Member of the Organizing Committee of the Award Bassam Al-Shemmari said in a statement on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the competition's coordinator Ahmad Safar said the award has developed prominently during its five-year term, adding that the event has seen great success.
Number of participants has increased in the current edition, exceeding 48,000, compared to over 25,000 in the last edition, said Safar.
