Mappila Kala Vedi Kuwait (MKVK) is conducting its 2nd annual mega event ‘Pathinaalaam Raav 2015’ on 1st may, 2015 at Indian Community School, Khaithan.

Grand Finale of the WhatsApp Mappila Song Competition, the first of its kind in Kuwait, organized by MKVK will also be conducted at the event. For the year 2015, the prestigious Moinkutty Memorial Award installed by Mappila Kala Vedi Kuwait for the contributions made in the field of Mappila art forms will be presented to Faizal Elate, who has played a key role in guiding the new

generation mappila song artists by leading them through the traditional flavour of mappila songs. The awardee was selected by the jury comprising of renowned music director Vidyadharan Master, writer and mappila song lyricist Jamal Kochangadi and social activist Abdul Salam (Focus Mall).

Popular social activist Musthafa Classic and famous musician Basheer Koyilandi will be honoured at the event considering their contributions to the expatriate society in Kuwait. Formal

function will be followed by cultural show and Isal night led by Master Adil Rahman (Media One Pathinalamrav fame).
