ICSK Students win CBSE U-14 Girls’ Chess tournament, various prizes in swimming events

The students of the Indian Community School Kuwait have brought glory to the school by winning the CBSE Kuwait cluster U-14 girls’ Chess tournament and also by securing many top positions in the CBSE Kuwait Cluster Swimming tournament.

The U-14 girls’ chess team comprising Mahillya Mohan of class VII at ICSK Amman, Keziah Jennie Santosh of class VIII atICSK Khaitan, Pranothi Prashanth of class VII at ICSK Amman, Joanna Ann Manoj of class VI at ICSK ICSK Junior and Sandra Mable Elvin of class VII at ICSK Amman clinched the CBSE Kuwait Cluster Championship.

Various prizes were secured by ICSK students in the various swimming competitions. In the U-14 girls’ category, Mahillya Mohan won the 3rd position in the 50m butterfly stroke and 1st position in the 100m butterfly stroke competition. In the same category, Shreya Bhatt stood 3rd in the 50m backstroke event. Anson Pereira secured the 3rd position in the U-16 boys’ 50m butterfly stroke and Roshan K Thomas came 3rd in the 100m backstroke event. In the U-19 category, Krushal came 3rd in the 50m butterfly stroke and stood 2nd in the 100m butterfly stroke event. Ashik Kallan stood 2nd in the 50m backstroke and also in 100m backstroke event. Alan, Anson, Roshan and Ebrahim came in the 3rd position in the 4X100m Medley relay event.
