Police have taken into custody an unidentified Syrian and are looking for four of his accomplices for stealing cars from Abbasiya. According to police, the gang had stolen more than 9 cars from Abbasiya area alone.
The Syrian, who is believed to be 17 years old, then guided police to the cars which they had stolen and abandoned on open grounds, which includes a white Colt, plate number 8/46486; blue Pajero, 14/1279; silver Camry, 27/9123; white Honda, 9/68328; white Mazda bus, 5/8710; black Honda, 1/71505; dark blue Honda, 37/4458; red Cherokee Jeep, 8/55456 and dark blue Honda, 9/34278
The interrogations with the suspect were led by Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Security Affairs Major-General Abdel Fattah Al-Ali, and Director of Farwaniya Security Directorate Major-General Fahd Al-Shuwaie.
