Kuwait Pavendar Kazhagam organized its 37th Kalam as a Gandhi Jayanti special programme on 02.10.2015 at Pavendar Arangam in MANGAF. The programme started at 06.00 P.M and was anchored by our Executive members Mrs. Seetha Lakshmi Kannan & Mrs. Sundari Pattabiraman. Prayer song was sung by Mr. Muthu Kumar.
The programme was presided over by Shri. BaluSamy, Managing Director,DAT Transport, Kuwait, in the presence of Er. Kasi Mahadevan (MEW)
The Chief Guest was introduced to audience by Mr. Ravanan, Former President, Pavendar Kazhagam.
PVKK Kalappaadal was sung by Mrs. Manjula.
One Thirkkural was beautifully elucidated by Mr. Kannan.
The event under title “KalaththuMedu” was performed by PVKK Children members Selvan R.Vishwesh Balaji, Selvi P.Uma Priya & Selvi K. Nikishasri. Selvan R. Sharon Balaji recite a beautiful poem about Mahatma Gandhi. Children’s performance of dances and songs were well appreciated by the Chief Guest, audience and members.
Tamil Pulavar Thiru. Pazha.Krishnamoorthy delivered a spell bounded speech about “Karma Veerar Kamarajar” under the title “Ninanithu Ninainthu”.
A Kavi Arangam was conducted under the leadership of Mr.Nilavan.The poets who participated in this event were Mr. Sivamani, Mr. Abuthahir, Mr.Satyan and Mr.Selvakumar. The Kavi Arangam was about “Gandhiyidam Kavidhai Thedugirom”.
Mr. Raveendran and Mr.Chokkalingam delivered speech about our former President Shri A.P.J. Abdul Kalam under the title “Inithinum Inithu”.
Tamil quiz was conducted by Mr. Ravanan and the winner was Mr.Satyan. He was rewarded.
The Chief Guest appreciated all the events performed in the programme which were organized by the office–bearers of Pavendar Kazhagam. During his speech, The Chief Guest mentioned that events were extraordinary, educative and delightful to watch. Furthermore he added that events were meticulously structured to educate audience with amusement.
The dinner was sponsored by our executive members Mrs. & Mr.Ramraj and by Mrs. & Mr.Ramakrishnan. The event was concluded with national anthem by PVKK Members.
