A number of lawmaker proposed an amendment that gives the government the power to force a coeducation ban at all schools, colleges and other educational facilities in Kuwait – including private ones, reported Kuwait Times citing Al-Qabas Arabic newspaper.
The amendment, proposed by MPs Humoud Al-Hamdan, Dr Awdah Al- Ruwai’ie, Dr Mohammad Al-Huwailah, Ali Al-Khamees and Hamdan Al-Azmi, bans the ‘mixing’ of male and female students in classrooms, laboratories, libraries and anywhere else inside an educational facility.
