Frederique Constant, one of the largest Swiss watch manufacturers, continue to rise in the industry by providing the consumers the opportunity to enjoy luxury at exceptional value.

Frederique Constant and Behbehani Group unveiled the Horological Smartwatch in Kuwait on 14th December 2015. IndiansinKuwait.com - IIK , in an exclusive chat with Mr. Williams Besse – International Sales Manager of Frederique Constant, shares with our readers, the Horological Smartwatch features and success of Frederique Constant watches

IIK: Welcome to Kuwait! Frederique Constant was the first Swiss watchmaker to unveil the Horological Smartwatch. How has been the reaction in the market since the unveiling of the Frederique Constant Horological Smartwatch?

Mr Williams: Initially we introduced the watch in some of the markets like Switzerland and United States in June and later expanded China, Japan, Australia, Europe and other regions in November and December. The response has been very good and excellent. We are the first Swiss made Horological Smartwatch. It helps us a lot in terms of visibility, in terms of wellness and also people have now realised that we not only have nice watch at affordable price but also we can be a pioneer in terms of innovation which really brings the brand to another level.

IIK: Can you explain us about Frederique Constant Swiss Horological Smart watches and how this makes it different from the other watches?

Mr Williams: Firstly it’s a Swiss made Watch. Secondly it’s a Horological Watch not Digital. That is the watch is not an extension of your phone. It won’t be able to receive messages, phone calls etc. It’s a watch, which is exactly like a Frederique Constant watch with all its features. The watch has 2 years of battery life. You don’t need to charge your watch every day. The Horological Smartwatch features and two years battery life makes it different from other smartwatches. You can track your activities, sleep and also there is a cloud to store all your data. You can download the application on to your phone (iOS or Android) and the most interesting feature is your watch will always show you the accurate Time and Date. When you travel anywhere around the world, you don't need to change the time in your watch, as your watch is connected to your phone. When you land to a particular country your phone automatically takes the location time and this reflects on your watch also. The watch has no feature of setting time or date.

IIK: Can you tell us about the different styles of Frederique Constant Swiss Horological Smart watches?

Mr Williams: We have different styles or designs of this Horological Watch. They are 3 versions of Leather Strap, 2 versions of Bracelets, 4 versions of Steel Case, 1 Gold plated.

IIK: Do you have Frederique Constant Horological Smart watches ladies Collection?

Mr Williams: This year we don’t have any horological watches for ladies. We will be coming up with another watch for the women. The reason why we have not introduced this year is that we have a brand called Alpina which is in same level of Frederique Constant, but it’s more of a classic Sport watch. This brand is both for men and ladies.

IIK : What do you think is the secret to the success of the Frederique Constant brand in the Watch Market?

Mr Williams: The success of Frederique Constant in the Swiss watch industry we can say that, we have always kept the philosophy of the brand. We were the first to come up with the philosophy to let more people enjoy luxury. This brand was created to ensure that people could afford a Swiss made classic watch which looks expensive, but actually it’s not. This is one of the success as we still remain with the same philosophy. The quality, innovation, design and all fine details you can find on our watches are part of our success. The ratio between price and quality today is one of the best in the market.

IIK: How has been the reaction in the Indian Market after the launch of Frederique Constant Horological Smartwatch?

Mr Williams: The Horological Smartwatch was introduced in India on September 2015. We had a press conference in New Delhi. We introduced it all over the country. The response has been excellent. All the Indians are really connected to their smartphones. Today smartphones are their laptops. We had a lot of demands and could reach out to many people. During Diwali we had a special campaign. Now in India we have more than 33 points of sales.

IIK: Few years back Frederique Constant had launched Devanagri Script watch. How was the reaction from the Market?

Mr Williams: It was quite a challenge. This year we had a new campaign in India where our brand ambassador Mr Samir Suhag in all over City of Jaipur advertised the Swiss watch. Today it is one of our best seller collection. We have also been selling these watches in Kuwait, Dubai, South Africa and Singapore.

IIK: With the launch of Frederique Constant Swiss Horological Smart watch in Kuwait with Behbehani group what are your expectations from the Kuwait Market?
Mr Williams: Expectations are high. We know that Behbehani are the best partners in Kuwait. Even in the region to me it’s the most professional, most luxurious we can find, so we are very happy to be partner with them.

IIK: What you have to tell to our readers, especially our Indian Expats living in Kuwait?
Mr Williams: Merry Christmas! and wish Indians all the best.
