Indians Muslim Association – Youth Wing, in cooperation with Grand Mosque, Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs, Kuwait, organized a grand Iftar Party, on 17 June 2016, at Masjid Al-Ghanim, Khaitan, Kuwait. Mr. Moulana Waliullah Saeedi Falahi, an Islamic scholar and Peace TV presenter, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Guest Speaker.
The event started with a beautiful recitation of Quranic verses by Hafez Abdul Qadeer Husami, followed by an array of inspiring speeches by the luminous dignitaries. Mr. Masood Shihaab, the first to speak on the occasion, reiterated the message of Ramadan. He urged the people, especially the youth present, to take advantage of the holy month of Ramadan to revive their ties with Quran and resolve to continue with the Ramadan lifestyle throughout the year.
The event then witnessed the launch of a campaign against – WASTAGE OF NATURAL RESOURCES by Moulana Waliullah Saeedi Falahi, and launch of IMA- YW’s website by Mr. Jamal Noori.
Brother Ilyas Sheikh gave a brief introduction of the campaign - Wastage of Natural Resources, calling it as an awareness drive against the senseless wastage of natural resources, especially food and water. He said it is high time that we realize the perils of our ridiculous indulgence in food and water. Brother Ilyas Sheikh called both the international community and the locals to take cognizance of deaths in many parts of the world due to starving.
Moulana Waliullah Saeedi Falahi too spoke at length about the importance of conservation of natural resources. He said food, water, and other natural resources are Allah’s bounties on us and we will be held responsible and questioned about them on the judgment day for their misuse. Moulana Waliullah Saeedi Falahi held the greed, selfishness, and capitalism bent of mind responsible for the current pathetic state of atmosphere.
Finally event ended with DUA by Mr. Masood Shihaab who then thanked the audience present and hoped that the gathering will inspire more youth to work for the society in the coming days.
On the dias accompanying our chieft guest were the other guest namely Mr. Jamal Noori, Chairman, Jamiya Nadir Noori, Mr. Asad Khan and Mr.Hoshdar Khan, both prominent businessman and social activist of Kuwait, Mr. Masood Shihaab, President, IMA, Mohammed Hassan Vice President- IMA, Brother Ilyas Sheikh, President IMA-YW, and Mr. Abdul Efam, Secretrary, IMA-YW. The event had more than 1000 attendees, including women.
