No near solution for traffic jams: Official

Sunday, July 24, 2016

Interior Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Major General Abdullah Al-Muhanna does not see a solution in the near future for traffic jams on Kuwait roads, especially since cars are on the increase while roads remain the same.

Local Arabic daily Al Rai newspaper quoted him as saying that he believes that overcoming the traffic jam issue needs modification projects on the side, main and ring roads, starting with Fahaheel, King Abdulaziz, King Fahd, Maghreb, Riyadh and Ghazali expressways, in addition to the First Ring Road all the way to Seventh Ring Road. Without the modifications and corrections on these roads, the congestions will not be solved, Al Rai newspaper added.

The bridge network being built now will partially contribute to reducing congestion.

1- make the rules for all school children are come to school on by school bus. not use the personal car. and also school teachers.
2- who are leaving the same place, same rout have pickup form there and work same place use the one car because 1 area people working same office but they are coming his personal car. that's why going the too much traffic.

Dear Traffic officials.
There are too many solutions you can provide. try it at once time and feel the difference
1. Change the school timing
2. Dont allow parents to bring there car's near any school areas at least min 100 meter distance.
3. All school's should provide public bus service for all students even expats or Kuwaiti.
4. If possible change the office times as in the early morning and school timing to be prepared after 3 hours only.
5. Allow business shop timings till 12 midnight as same like ramadan timing and giv e them break at office and school timing.

only solution for the developing traffic problems is moving all the commercial tower, ministry establishment towards the 7th ring road. the kuwait should start to spread towards the 7th ring road and beyond. For example there was just a firdaus theatre and now at that same place is the 70 floor hamra tower is situated, just imagine each floor having offices, each office having so many employees and each employee having a car. The congestion is mainly due to this factor.

There is a solution to every problem.

First, cut the root of the problem, i.e.
CARS ARE ON THE INCREASE
limit or stop the import of new cars for
the next 5 years.

Second, ban car loans given by banks
and finance institutions,
THUS MAKING IT HARD FOR INDIVIDUALS
TO PURCHASE A CAR ON THEIR OWN STRENGTH.

Third, implement the policy - one family one car
MOST KUWAITI HOMES OWN AT LEAST 2 TO 5 CARS
AND MOST EXPATS OWN AT LEAST 1 TO 3 CARS

Widening Roads or building new roads or building a Railway system will not solve
traffic problems in Kuwait.

Traffic can be controlled if people will use more public transport.
and it will happen if government will reduce the public traffic charges from 250 fills to something around 100 fills.

in this case all people will travel by public transport instead of expensive taxis and it will definitely reduce personal vehicle usage also.

you people are forgetting the core issue.

If you made parking mandatory in all commercial buildings in city, if there is enough parking space for the staff and visitors of all office in the city, the traffic problem will be automatically solved.

Another point is the bottle neck at the connection roads. for example, the 3 track 5th ring road is joining to 3 track airport road, but the joining point is only 1 track, which cause a major block on the main road.

dear office, look at these type of scientific issues and you can solve the traffic issue upto 75%

Traffic Department,
If there is a will, there is a way.
1) Wide Roads
2) More Parking Areas
3) Shifting offices to new areas
4) Metro Service
5) Separate Route for Buses

Like this Many more solutions can be considered to ease the traffice jam problem.
Thanks
