Parliamentarian demand security check up in areas ‘populated with bachelors’

Thursday, August 25, 2016

A number of MPs called for holding security campaigns in areas with high number of expatriate bachelors especially in Bneid Al-Gar, local daily reported.

According to Al-Rai Arabic newspaper, parliamentarians warned about the increasing negative effects on the country’s social and security arenas and recommended establishing accommodations for labourers far away from family residential areas.

There are a huge number of bachelors living in Bneid Al-Gar and many of them may not be holding valid residence permits, daily reported quoting MP Abdullah Al-Turaiji. He suggested building cities far away from residential areas for labourers and providing them with all basic services.

One needs a balanced view here. In many places where hard labor bachelor are concentrated, one can observe they make a mess.Mostly people from South East Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri lanka) they chew tobacco and spit on walls, shady corners are stinking with urination in public and gathering in large crowds is intimidating for family to move pass them and these bachelors stare, one can understand they are away from thier wife and children some stare in despair (missing thier own family) and some stare in lust. However govt can encourage private developers to prepare bachelor cities and boost public transportation.

Somebody please throw some light and wisdom on these parliamentarians who come with ideas and moves out of the blue with such confidence. Probably the only GCC country who does security raids as if these people are intruders. How did they enter the country in the first place. People applauding the move have no clue about how such moves can indirectly affect the innocent bachelors who do nothing but work hard to make a living here. Apart from this what are they even doing to cope up with falling oil prices? One cannot hope for boost in tourism without any freedom for people to move. Despite holding valid residencies people think twice before going out now a days.

Is "Expat Bachelor" & "Labourer" the same category? Will there be qualification?

Bachelors and Labourers should live closest to the workplace to reduce urban traffic and transport costs.
