5,293 citations issued in traffic campaign

The traffic department launched a campaign that covered Kuwait’s six governorates. The campaign resulted in issuing 5,293 traffic citations, 273 vehicles were impounded, a man was arrested on suspicion of carrying drugs, three were held without residency permit, 18 others were detained and 27 juveniles were caught driving without licenses. The campaign was led by Interior Ministry Undersecretary Lieutenant General Suleiman Al-Fahd and accompanied by Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Major General Fahd AlShuwaei.

This is not a security campaign this is get money from expats campaign nothing else only expats are abiding rules and regulations in Kuwait but only expats are fined and fined again and again . no rules no laws no car impound for Kuwaitis Allah bless all of us.

I fully agree with you Mr. Azad. Just to make some show the poor expats are being harassed. Hope the authorities will stop this act of harassing the expats at least for people having proper documents OR let them ask all expats to leave the country.

5293 tickets in one day means about 2 million in a year. Poor Expats.

this is totally wrong.. I got my friends whose cars wer confiscated for silly made up reasons.. even new cars r blamed of "silencer making sound" and are fined. another popular excuse "causing traffic deliberately" and many more silly reasons and expats r getting framed and fined.. so pathetic..!!
u jus need a newspaper heading in the expense of expats hard earned money.. we still see everywhere kuwaitis breaking laws as a common practice and even in front of police.. and police cant do nuthing about them.. the only place to show ur authority is to torture the law abiding expats..!! shameful act !!
