An employee working at the Kuwait International Airport was taken into custody for stealing computer passwords of his colleagues, penetrating the computer system and using the computer network at the land border to facilitate entry and exit of people in return for money, local Arabic news paper Al-Rai daily reported.
According to report, the arrest came when the suspect helped a Jordanian and his four family members to legalize their stay in Kuwait. According to reports the Jordanian with his family left for Saudi Arabia from Kuwait and stayed there for more than six months and as result was unable to enter the country. The Jordanian then contacted the suspect and sent him the five passports to do the needful.
After registering their entries and exit the passports were sent back to the Jordanian following which the Jordanian entered the country via the Salmi border post. After the arrest of the Jordanian at the border post, securitymen identified the man who had facilitated his entry and the suspect was whisked away for interrogation. Initially the suspect denied the allegation and said when the Jordanian entered the country, he was not even present at the border post. However, when he was shown the document proof he could not deny the charges because he was caught by the CCTV camera receiving his Jordanian ‘friend’. The Kuwaiti and with the Jordanian has been referred to the concerned authority.
