Kuwait’s major road project nearly complete

The Ministry of Public Works announced yesterday that Jamal Abdulnasser road project is near completion. The project execution - which has reached 78 percent is of one of Kuwait’s major development enterprises. The renovation works, including causeways and turning points, will conclude early next year, Ahmad AlHesan, the Assistant Undersecretary for Roads Engineering said in a statement. The project is aimed at transforming the road into an 11-km-long multiplestorey highway. Mahmoud Haji Ramadan, the chief project engineer, said the venture execution is proceeding according to schedules affirming it would enhance the roads’ traffic accommodation capacity. Kuwait is building a network of new roads and highways as part of the development and strategy and to resolve the traffic problems.
