Tamilnadu Engineers Forum (TEF) Kuwait, the one & only ISO certified voluntary Engineers Forum in MENA region organized the SPORTS MEET-2016 for its members & families at KUWAIT ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION GROUND, KHAIFAN on 11th November 2016.
TEF started the sports activities with the traditional Tamilian game “Kabbadi” in the first week of October 2016. Various outdoor games like Volley Ball, Cricket, Slow cycle race & Indoor Games like, Table Tennis, Throw Ball, Tennikoit, Chess & Caroms were conducted in the available week ends.
TEF members along with their family members actively participated in the games.
Sports Meet started at 9.00 AM with colorful march-fast by the Tefian & their family members who were divided into four houses (Green House, Red House, Blue house & White House). TEF 2016 President Mr. Jeyakumar, GS Dr. Shan & the Chief guest Mr. Valavan, Sabila EDAC accepted the guard of honor. After the march-fast, TEF Sports meet torch was lit by Mr. Kasi Viswanathan. Sports meet was formally declared open by TEF President.
Track & field events like running race, shot-put, Javelin throws and long jumps were conducted for different age groups. Also, fitness events like crunches, push-ups, plank and skipping competitions were conducted for all.
Based on the points, “White house” was declared as overall winners of TEF 2016 sports.
Prizes were distributed to all the winners and Runners and the participants encouraged the Prize Winners.
Dr. Alia Medical center sponsored the first-aid medical facilities with their Para-Medics staff.
Month long sports activities came to an end @ 6.00 PM on 11th Nov 2016.
