KD 75 million collected in 2016 as traffic fines

The General Traffic Department collected KD 75 million in traffic fines during 2016, local Kuwaiti media reported quoting sources.

The daily reported that there was a significant drop in the number of offenses recorded in 2016 until Dec 25. A total of 3.1 million offenses, including 1.6 million direct violations have been recorded.

The daily also reported that 406 people died in traffic accidents during the same period as a result of 92,179 traffic accidents.

Traffic fines should be high, and should be done for all citizens. No vastas and favoritism.
Only way to reduce traffic accident is to heavily fine reckless drivers. They kill/Ijure innocent people on road.

Now a days the roads really bad,because of the road unable to drive the Cars and there is no proper maintenance of road, once the chipping is done to road, it take almost 6-7 months more to put asphalts on the road.every six months we should change the tires.30 road near refineries its really too bad.

At least improve road surface, traffic lights (outdated system), road marking etc from this money.
