The Indian Community School, Senior Branch, organized a colourful Blessing Ceremony for 285 outgoing students of Class XII on 16th February, 2017, at the ICSK Senior Branch auditorium. The reminisces shared by the student representatives, Ms.Vanesa Emilia Swares, Master Akash Ramesh Kumar, Ms. Madhumitha Venugopal and Ms. Anjali Santha Kumar brought back the images of bygone years into the minds of all the distinguished members. The principal and teachers eulogised the students for their academic excellence and discipline. They also hoped they would make their alma mater, parents and friends proud as they grow up further. The guests too wished them all success. Mementoes imprinted with their name & photos and certificates were presented to the students by the Chief Guest, the Hon. Chairman, Hon. Secretary, Hon. Kuruvilla, the Vice-Principal of Senior Branch, read out the promises to be kept by the newly graduated students. As the students took oath, they received the lit candles that also signify the dispelling of darkness of ignorance as also conveyed by the ICSK motto 'From Darkness to Light'. The ceremony concluded as the students were blessed by teachers as they walked through the 'corridor of blessings', ready to step out of school and face the outside world with hope and confidence.
