8th Kuwait Open Teniis Tournament- Indian Boys Bag U13 Winner’s & U11 Runner’s Up Title

Kuwait Open 8, the biggest Tennis Tournament of the season organized by Kuwait Tennis federation from March 2nd -14th under the patronage of Kuwait & Arab tennis Federation’s president his highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Abdullah Al Sabah, concluded on 14th of March with the awarding ceremony. This year’s tournament saw participation of 500 players in different categories wherein a total of 302 matches were played

The tournament saw some exemplary performances by Indian kids, defending champion Satyansh Mani Tripathi kept his nerve to overcome stiff resistance from top seeded Hussain Al Shatti of the Federation to win 4-6, 6-4, 10-3 to lift the U13 Boys title for the second year in a row.

In the U11 boys category, younger sibling Divyansh Mani Tripathi ended up with the Runner’s Up Title losing to top seeded Abdul Wahab of the Federation 5-7; 1-6

Performing consistently after winning last year’s Kuwait open title, Satyansh won Ramadan Open U12 in June 2016 and Bronze medal in CBSE National School games in the mixed doubles U14category held in Dec 2016 at Billabong school Noida.

Satyansh and Divyansh are class VII & Class V students of Fahaheel Al Wataniyah Indian pvt. school. They owe their success to their coach Captain Kahaliq Seddiq
