Tuesday, May 9, 2017

Leadership is lifting a person’s vision to high sights, the raising of a person’s performance to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limitations.
—Peter Drucker

Indian Learners Own Academy embarked its 7th Investiture Ceremony on April 26, 2017 embellished with great ardour from the students as well as the school faculty. The Investiture Ceremony manifested the boost for a remarkable academic session. It was a portentous ceremony where young students constructed themselves to lay a new beginning as leaders of the school.

The juncture commenced with the arrival of the Chief Guest and other esteemed dignitaries followed by the advent of the new School Council. The distinguished Chief Guest of the day was Dr. Subramaniam Neelamani, Senior Research Scientist with Coastal Management Programme, KISR. Also present on the occasion was the Chairman of the School, Mr. D. K. Sharma.

The ceremony commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and a prayer in English. The National Anthems of Kuwait & India were sung with a spirit of patriotism. The Chief Guest, Mr. Subramaniam, did the honours of the propitious lamp lighting ceremony. The School Principal Mrs. Asha Sharma extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, parents, staff and the students present at the ceremony. A beautiful and melodious patriotic song was presented before the audience by the LOA Choir, followed by a rhythmic musical performance by the school band. The wonderful dancers of LOA put forth a scintillating classical dance performance which brought pride and happiness to all minds.
