“Festivals add more colours to Life and are the spirit of Humanity”.

The students of Indian Community School Kuwait Junior welcomed the holy month of Ramadan by holding a special assembly on 20th May 2017 by class II and 30th May 2017 by class V.

A Special assembly on Eid ul fithar was conducted by the students that started with the recitation of the verses from the holy Quran. There was a short beautiful speech conveying the importance of love, peace, faith and hope in our lives, thematic for the day was related for all to reflect.

The students performed a group song symbolic to this day, a beautiful rendition of a Qawwali song and then, through a well enacted skit conveyed a moving and inspirational story on how we should keep the flame of hope and love, faith and peace burning in our hearts.

The children portrayed the spirit of loving, caring, sharing and celebrating the festival of Eid with great aplomb through a heartwarming dance. Participants enacted with dance to rhythm and music to show the importance of festivals.

The Principal Mrs. Sherly Dennis appreciated the participants and teachers-in-charges for the assembly. Through a few words, she imparted her wisdom to the students on the importance of love and respect for others. Stating that she herself was fasting, she advised the students to follow the rules of fasting during this holy month of Ramadan.

After the prize distribution to the CCA winners for the month of May, the assembly ended with the Kuwait National Anthem.
