Orthodox Vacation Bible School 2017 of St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Maha Edavaka Sunday School - Jubilee Veda Maha Vidyalaya, was inaugurated on Thursday 8th June, at a public meeting at National Evangelical Church by Fr. Cherian Joseph, OVBS Director by lighting the traditional lamp and declared the theme “Do good to one another”.
Very Rev. Thomas Ramban, Vicar of Maha Edavaka presided over the meeting and the guests were welcomed by Joby Kaleekkal, OVBS Superintendent and Shabu Mathew, Sunday School Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
Ashwin Joseph Mathew (Sunday School Head Boy) and Shino Mariam Zacharia (MGOCSM Secretary) hoisted the OVBS flag on the occasion.
The meeting was felicitated by Very Rev. Habeeb Ramban, Fr. Jacob Thomas (Designate Vicar of Maha Edavaka), Fr. Jiju George (Associate Vicar of Maha Edavaka), Ajish M. Thomas (Parish Trustee), Abraham C. Alex (Parish Secretary), Koshy Mathew and Babu Varghese (Sabha Managing Committee Members), Kurien Varghese (Sunday School Head Master), and P.C. George (Sunday School Advisor).
About 700 students and their parents were present for the inauguration function.
