First day of Eid Al-Fitr on June 25 - Says Astronomer Dr Saleh Al-Ojairi

Prominent astronomer Dr Saleh Al-Ojairi said the first day of Eid Al-Fitr will be on June 25 because the Shawwal month crescent is expected to rise at 5:30 am on June 24.

According to report, Al-Ojairi disclosed the Shawwal month crescent will stay for 18 minutes in the evening so the Eid Al-Fitr prayer will be at 5:05 am.

kalloor-ibn salam Monday, June 19, 2017 Eid day will be fixed once seen the moon by eye. Astronomy not accepted as per Islamic law, it might be seen eye view.
Bharat Saturday, June 17, 2017 This is absolutely correct based on Hindu panchang....Its true that moon is visible after sunset at 6.47 pm till 7.09 pm the time of moon set on the 24th of June... it means almost for 20 mins moon is available for sighting... refer to website panchang.com
