Mr. Mathi, General Secretary of Indian Frontliners has been honoured by “Media 7 News” web channel with “Annai Therasa Award” on 20th August 2017.
Mathi provides his assistance/support through IFL , for the needy Indian Nationals in coordination with Indian embassy to provide the required help in a possible way.
All those years Mathi has extended his help mainly for the people in distress like stranded workers/maids, poor and sick labourers in need of medical attention, families of persons died in Kuwait who does not have the proper knowledge / support in the state of Kuwait where there are limited opportunities for the expatriates. He is dedicative and happy to serve the community on his free time.
One of the biggest achievements by Mathi is to suspend the execution of 2 Indian nationals sentenced to death in Kuwait, with the help of Indian Embassy and then Ambassador Shri. Satish C. Mehta. By getting the information before 3 days of execution, on behalf of Indian Frontliners, Mathi with the affected person's relatives and friends coordinated with Indian Embassy for the above humble effort.
On recognizing his efforts and services to the community “Media 7 News” honoured him with “Anna Therasa Award” in Chennai in a function held at Kavikko Convention Centre, Chennai on 20th August 2017; Mr. DSR. Subash, President, Tamilnadu Press Club presented the award. Mr. Tamimun Ansari, MLA, Prof. Suba. Veerapandiyan, Film Director Mr. Amir, some other dignitaries and Media personnel participated in the event.
