Maurya Kala Parisar organized "An Evening With Hindi / Urdu Poets"

Thursday, October 5, 2017

“Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words” by Robert Frost - American Poet and Playwrite
Mushaira, a blend of Hindi & Urdu poetry recital is gaining the popularity to an extent that it had crossed Indo-Pak borders and entered in Middle Eastern countries, Europe and Canada.

Maurya Kala Parisar, a socio-cultural organization in Kuwait, in association with the Embassy of India, Kuwait organized a Kavi Sammelan and Mushaira in the auditorium of the Indian Embassy on September 22, 2017 on the auspicious occasion of Hindi Diwas. In addition to the well-known and established local poets, many eminent poets from India and Qatar participated in this enthralling evening. His Excellency, the Ambassador of India to Kuwait, Mr. Sunil Jain was the Chief Guest whereas Mr. S. Ritvik was the president of Kavi Sammelan and Mushaira.

Poets brought to life the excellence of Hindi and Urdu poetry and captivated the large audience with their compositions - Couplets, Ghazals, Nazms, Kavita and Geet. Poetry flowed like a river covering all the aspects and dimensions of beauty and emotions of life. Romantic Ghazals and patriotic Kavita both were well appreciated by the audience.

The highlight of the mushaira was the poetry rendition by shayara Shaista Sana from Kanpur, India. She started with the selection of verses from her Ghazals that spoke of loyalty and betrayal in love. The verses had glimpses of melancholy as well as hope. She proved to be an excellent stage performer when she brought laughter on the faces of the audience by her humorous and satirical compositions on Asha Ram Bapu and Baba Ram Raheem. Ms. Shaista Sana was well complemented & supplemented by Ms. Chandini Pandey by her Ghazals and Geet.

The show was well conducted by the Urdu Poet and anchor, Mr. Afroz Alam who brought new dimension and vista to the event by using finest and lucid literary expressions.

Those who participated in the poetry recital are the following;
Chandni Pandey(India), Tufail Azar (Muscat), Shaista Sana(India), Dr. Arvind Raina, Umesh Sharma, Dr. Manzar Alam, Syed Qamar Minto, afroz Alam, Dr. Navniit Gandhi, Sabir Omer Galsulkar, Vijay Dhillon, Kamal Ansari, Nasim Zahid, Ibrahim Sang-e-Raja, Maimuna Ali Chougle, Aamir Diwan, Furqan Bijnori
