Bhavans’ Tryst with Sporting Glory

Indian Educational School's (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kuwait) remarkable run in the sporting arena in Kuwait flagged a new milestone as they were declared the undisputed champions in the CBSE Cluster Badminton Meet held at Indian Central School, Kuwait on October 3, 4 & 5, 2017. IES won the under 14 Boys Championship with Samuel Sunil Philip (Grade 8), Surya Manoj (Grade 7), Dhruva Bhardwaj (Grade 6) and Ashwin Jaishankar (Grade 7) doing it for the champions, and stood runner up in the under 17 boys category with Maanas Manoj (11), Sarvesh Raj Kumar (Grade 10), Ashutosh Bhaskar Kulkarni (Grade 10) and Adweith Gokul (Grade 10) sweating it out for them.

Mr. T. Premkumar, the Principal, IES exalted the efforts of the ace players, and the dedication of the Physical Education Department for adding yet another plume of glory to the vast and resplendent archive of accolades. The under 14 champions will represent Indian Educational School in the CBSE National Badminton Championship 2017 which will be held at Rishikesh Vidyapeeth, Sonipat, Haryana, India from 22 to 28 October, 2017. Bhavans is waiting for their glorious return to add yet another golden feather to its cap.

Fantastic performance by the students and wish them good luck in the CBSE National Meet. I appreciate the dedication of the physical education teachers of this school that is coming to school at 5.30 am everyday to coach the children.
