The Indian Doctors Forum (IDF) conducted “Geet-Natya 2017”

The Indian Doctors Forum (IDF) Kuwait, the premier sociocultural association of Indian doctors in the state of Kuwait, held a gala cultural variety show “GEET-NATYA 2017” at the Indian embassy on October 13 2017.

The MC for the night was Dr. Imtiyaz Navaz, Web Manager of the IDF.The evening commenced with an opening address by Dr. Abhay Patwari, President of the IDF, who welcomed the assembled dignitaries and guests, which included; Mr. K.K Pahel, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indian embassy; Mr. Anup Singh, Second Secretary of Commerce at the Indian embassy; ex-IDF presidents Dr. Vinod Grover, Dr. Ramesh Pandita, Dr. Riaz Khan and Dr. Amir Ahmed; and IDF members and their families.

Dr. Surenda Nayak, General Secretary of the IDF, introduced the audience to guest singer Mr. Nakul Abhyankar, winner of season 7 of Zee Kannada SaReGaMaPa and a rising playback singer in the Kannada, Tamil and Telugu music industry. Mr. Abhyankar and the accompanying orchestra entertained the crowd with a selection of classic and new Bollywood hits. His rousing performance brought the attendees to their feet and his lively showmanship thoroughly entertained the audience.

Following the musical entertainment, Dr. Radhakrishna Panicker, Treasurer of the IDF, felicitated all the individuals whose hard work and effort made "GEET-NATYA-2017" possible.

Dr. Prashant Purohit, Cultural Secretary of the IDF, introduced the audience to the, first of it's kind, IDF play.This Hindi stage production was performed by the IDF's very own members; Dr. Surendra Nayak, Dr. Pooja Chodankar, Dr. Jagganath Chodankar and Dr. Sunil Kodali. The hall was filled with laughter during the entertaining and hilarious performance.

Dr. Gautam Hebbar, Assistant Web Manager of the IDF, gave the vote of thanks and expressed his gratitude to all those who made the night a success.

The audience was enthralled by the creative, imaginative, exciting and one of a kind performances. The event was a grand success thanks to the hard work of the IDF members and their families.
