Tuesday, October 17, 2017

Deputy Director General for Fire Prevention at Kuwait Fire Service Directorate Brigadier Khalid Abdullah warned the general public against carrying five or more gas cylinders in private vehicles that do not meet stipulated regulations, saying the violation attracts KD 500 fine.

According to Al-Rai daily, the decision to ban private vehicles from carrying gas cylinders has been activated since the beginning of the year. Brigadier Abdullah disclosed that the directorate has reached an agreement with distributors and cooperative societies not to supply more than four gas cylinders to vehicles that do not conform to regulations and specifications set for safety and security.

The type of vehicles allowed for carrying higher number of gas cylinders must be using diesel fuel and authorized by the directorate.

There should be a system to make available the required Gas Cylinders for cooking the food at all residential areas to enable the people living to live their life.

If private vehicles are banned, how does the ministry want people to get their Gas Cylinders required at their place of residence in the nation.

It is because the cylinders are made available by the nearby shops, supermarkets and others people within the locality that many are using the Gas Cylinders without any difficulty of carrying it at their accommodation inside the buildings.
