Drop in number of visit visas

Thursday, October 19, 2017

Kuwait has registered a notable drop in the number of expatriates who arrive on commercial, business and tourist visas since health services’ fees were hiked.

Local daily AlAnba, quoting a high-level source, reported that the number of visitors is expected to drop further following the application of a proposal submitted by Ministry of Interior to increase the charges of visit visas.

For seeking visit visa of dependent son/daughter/son-in-law/daughter in-law, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kuwait has made new rule to produce original date of Birth certificate, duly attested/endorsed by the State Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs and Embassy of Kuwait in that country. Attested copies by Embassy of India in Kuwait are not being considered for endorsements by Foreign Affairs Min. of Kuwait. This is my personal experience last month.

Kindly comment whether this verbal/written rule is still going on or it was temporary measure to control expatriates counts.

Visit visa procedure for family

Kuwait is committing a foolish mistake by reducing/rejecting Visit Visas for tourists/visitors which will only worsen the economic crisis of this country. It's high time Kuwait should learn from other GCC countries like - UAE & Qatar who have relaxed Visit visa regulations and promoted tourism by allowing visitors and tourists to visit their countries. By increasing health services charges, visit visa charges, etc. will ultimately affect negatively for business and other commercial establishments in Kuwait and indirectly will hurt economy of Kuwait.

The drop is only because they reject all visa application without any reason.

My friend satisfy all condition for getting visit visa for his parents, but applied last week and they simply rejected!
