Plan to implement online renewal of driving licence

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

Traffic department is planning to implement a project to renew driving licenses online, where the applicant applies on the interior ministry website and submits the required documents, then receives the license from machines similar to civil IDs.

This was disclosed by Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs, at the Ministry of Interior Major-General Fahd Al-Shuwea.

He also said that talks are on to reduce the requirements for obtaining driving licenses for expatriates born in Kuwait.

Al-Shuwea also said the aim of toughening traffic penalties for violations is not to burden the violators, but to restore discipline and reduce the rates of death and injury.

Next best idea would be to implement online renewal of daftar for vehicles to only print the daftar instead of long queues as it is a harrowing experience every year for all expats !!
Hope someone listens ......

Doubtful !!... because any technological advancements and easy procedures will reduce the number of staff requirement and job requirements of Kuwaitis... They will continue with old practices which will give job to more Kuwaitis.

Good Move by Traffic Department. People (like doesitmatter) are always negative and think negative even if it does not matter to them. At least the thought is much better here than your own country.

People who think this is a good move should understand one thing.

New ways are implemented only to delay the work of expats.
