Deportation for traffic violations: Officials can take decision based on assessment of violation record

Friday, November 24, 2017

The recent statement by Ministry of Interior official on deporting expatriate drivers for repeating the traffic violations of driving the car without wearing seat belt and driving while talking on the mobile phone is not only limited to the serious violations, reports local daily Kuwait times.

According to report, the deportation include a wider range of offenses beyond the ‘serious violations’ as described in previous regulations. Kuwiat Times, quoting Head of the Media Security Department at the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant Colonel Nasser Buslaib, reported that the Interior Minister or a ministry official authorized to make deportation decisions on his behalf can decide to deport a repeating offender based on assessment of their record.

“In case the violations are repeated several times, this gives us the indication that the driver is breaking law on purpose, and that his offense was not just accidently committed,” daily reported quoting Buslaib. This decision is only applied on violations where the tickets are issued directly, so to exclude any unjustified behavior by policemen, daily added.

Other countries should follow this law for Kuwaities staying or visiting the countries of the world. In kuwait laws are changed every second , today this tomorrow that, well it is their country, and in our country if they break law should be deported from our country too. However this harsh punishment wont work. Keep trying.

The lawmakers itself not follow the traffic rules, they them self drive without belt having Cigarettes and checking mobile phones while driving, so my question who will fine for this People.why there is no equal rules and regulation to everyone.Few months ago the policeman stopped me near New University Project Jaleeb just i was taking left from my office and he put the case that i was driving slowly in 6th ring road and whole traffic was blocked, cunning case he put and took my car for one week, total fine i paid 30 KD.

I was once accused of driving at 125 kmph on a 80 kmph road. And for sure I was not driving more than 82 or 83. The cop stopped and fined me for no reason with no proof. And there are cases of cops asking for license and when u take out the seat belt while reaching for your purse they fine u.
Without photo evidence, cannot accuse anyone.
