IIK held Award Nite for Young Reporters; Malavika Krishna bags Best IIK Young Reporter 2017

IndiansinKuwait.com (IIK) in a gala Award Nite announced Best IIK Young Reporter for the Year 2017. The Award Nite was held on Wednesday, 29th November 2017 from 6:00 PM onwards at ICSK - Senior Branch Salmiya

New 8 IIK Young Contributors for the year 2017 were felicitated with certificates from IIK and New 8 IIK Young Reporters got their Badges.

Then came the awards for the Young Reporters and Contributors who contributed to the YR program by sending in quality articles out of which some of the articles were selected for their relevance to the student community, for their originality and quality of writing. The awards were sponsored by High Sierra.

Deepthi Joji received The Most Relevant Article Today, Sanjeev Ramprasad received The Most Memorable Article, Avanija Menon received The most informative article, Marushka Fernandes received The Most Beneficial Article for Children, Malavika Krishna received The Best Interview article, Alfy Rachel Thomas received Most Meaningful Article, Tanmay Sahu received The Most Interesting Article, Yusra Asad Khan received The Most Relevant Article to Students and Shaina Evanka received The Most Thought Provoking Article

Also Tanmay Sahu , Devansh J Ponda and Kripa Susan Shaji received their awards for the writing contest conducted by IIK. The topic for the writing contest was "Demonetisation - A Boon or Bane for Indian citizen”. Their articles were selected as best 3 and was published on IIK Online Republic Day Supplement – “Maa Tujhe Salam”.

The awards were sponsored by High Sierra and the award contained certificates and High Sierra bags.

Malavika Krishna was declared as Best IIK Young Reporter for the Year 2017. Earlier IIK had nominated 3 IIK Young Reporters and conducted a written test. Panel of Judges selected the winner based on Good linguistic skills, Report-writing style etc.

Marushka Fernandes, Tanmay Sahu and Malavika Krishna were the 3 Nominated IIK Young Reporters. They received medals during the award ceremony.

Malavika Krishna for the 2nd time became Best IIK Young Reporter. Even in the year 2016 she was declared as the Best IIK Young Reporter. She received a branded Watch sponsored by Tik Tok, Trophy and a Certificate from IndiansinKuwait.com.

Mr Rajshekar, Brand Manager of Tik Tok, Mr Surya S Prakash, Mentor of IIK Young Reporter Program and IIK Officials together presented the Awards.

IIK also announced Best School for their Contribution towards this program for the year 2017. Based on Highest number of Students who contributed for this program and highest number of awards won by the students, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan - IES was awarded Best School Contributor for the year 2017 with a trophy from IndiansinKuwait.com. Representative from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan received the Trophy during the Award nite.

IIK Young Reporter program is to encourage the writing skills of the young students from the community.
