Awqaf Ministry reminds people of photo ban at holy mosques

Friday, December 15, 2017

The ministry of awqaf and Islamic affairs issued a directive to all Kuwait hajj convoy owners, reminding them of a recent Saudi decision number banning all types of photography within the two holy mosques in Makkah and Madinah.

The directive said that in a bid to avoid Kuwaiti pilgrims violating Saudi laws and regulations and due to the disturbance and provocation of other pilgrims’ feelings by taking photos inside both mosques, all pilgrims should be notified and warned not to use regular or video cameras or any other photography devices to avoid having the photos or videos deleted or even the devices confiscated.
