“Winners win, winners lose, but winners play”
One can think of a healthy mind only in a healthy body. Both physical and mental well being are the prerequisites of great achievements in man’s life. “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”, this proverb highlights the importance of playful activities in the student’s life.

Indian Learners’ Own Academy organized its Annual Kindergarten Sports Day with great fan-fare and gusto in the school premises recently. The children participated in a variety of individual and team sports events and games. The atmosphere of the school took a festive look. A great interest was observed among the students and the teachers. Events chosen such as Pair Marching, Frog Jump, Book Balancing Skill, Tie your own Shoes, Ring Throw, Balance the Ball, Musical Chair, Hula Hoop and Lemon Spoon were fun, safe and easy to participate.

Involving themselves in various games and sports developed a feeling of sporting spirit. Following directions and rules, Learning safety skills, Patience, The value of effort were the motto behind this Sports Day. The atmosphere on that day was electric as all the participants had a wonderful time taking part in the races. At last the winners were awarded and all the students were advised to keep up their sportsman spirit.

The students departed with a clear smile on their faces. It was a day filled with enthusiasm and a lot of memories to cherish and a lesson they learnt that “Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.”
