Expatriates may deported for environmental violations

Friday, January 12, 2018

The environment law of this country has an article that states deportation of expatriates who commit environmental violations as penalty, Director General and Board Chairman of Environment Public Authority (EPA) Sheikh Abdullah AlAhmed Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah said during a speech.

According to Al-Nahar daily report, he indicated that some expatriates have been deported for committing dangerous environmental violations, adding that deportation is the right of Ministry of Interior, which decides on the suitable kind of penalty.

Sheikh Abdullah clarified that the role of EPA is limited to issuance of citations and referring them to Ministry of Interior for deciding on the relevant penalty.

He affirmed that EPA welcomes any parliamentary questions regarding environmental issues and aimed at the interest of the country.

@John.. The biggest environmental violation here is to be an EXPAT. If expats breathe then the amt of oxygen in this country get reduced as much as that the citizens are not able to breath.
