Sunday, January 21, 2018

Upkar Association Kuwait, one of the leading Association of Indians formed in Kuwait, had the honor of holding it’s first ever Lohri celebration on January 12, 2018 in Khairan Desert camp, Kuwait along with the annual family picnic.

The festival symbolizes the conclusion of severe winter season and marking the beginning of new harvest period for the farmers. A widely celebrated festival mainly in Northern India represents revelry with near & dear ones, having a bon-fire and sending out good wishes to one and all. The event had begun with lots of games for adults & kids and a couple of performances. At the onset of twilight hours a bon fire was set up wherein all the members carried out their celebrations.
