A New Year, A New Start and a New Way to Go

The most extravagant and exhilarating time of the year is right over here, the New Year!!It is time for us to say goodbye to our old good friend, 2017 and try and put away all the sorrows and sadness it might have brought to us. We should also try to gather up our good memories we had with our friends and family and keep it close to our heart. But trust me, we should not feel sad that this year has come to an end but, we should take this new year as a wonderful opportunity of setting new goals and making new and beautiful memories in our life. We should start making our own new year resolution and start planning what we are going to do for the next year. So why are new year resolutions so important for us and what must we include in our new year resolution?

First, setting up a new year’s resolution will make us aware of what we are going to have to do for the year to come. This would help to give us a clear and spotless idea of what we must do, and this would help to make it easier for us to achieve our goals. Setting up a new year’s resolution would also make whatever we do more systematic and easy. Also getting this clear idea of our aim would continuously remind us that we must not waste our time as time is very precious and cannot be bought back. This would help us to get more motivated and this would develop our enthusiasm and in the end, we will surely prevail and reach success.

Secondly when we make a new year’s resolution mainly we also include what type of behavior we would like to look forward to and how we could change our attitude towards society. While making our resolution we would also be aware of our previous and harmful behavior that must be changed for our betterment. With the help of this we will become self-aware and self-conscious and finally we will have self-control and we will develop a good attitude towards society. With this good behavior it is scientifically proven that we would be more optimistic in life and many people will like us. Good and proper behavior would also open a new doorway to job opportunities in our life.

Thirdly, in our new resolution we should also include how we would dedicate ourselves to our society and start showing patriotism towards our country. This is because our country does so much for and it is high time that we repay our country for its good deeds by either contributing to their needs. For example, we could start giving money to charity and not be stingy, arrogant and selfish. We could also make a resolution to start supporting organizations to help the poor and the needy. We should also spend at lest some time for our country and do social or community work like, cleaning the surroundings, planting trees and so on.

Just like many people, I too have new year resolutions for 2018 so that my year would be a prosperous one. My new year resolutions are: -
To secure an all-rounder badge for 2018 and a scholar badge in class 8.
To start spending more time reading interesting books and novels.
To start donating money to my local charity in India.

I conclude by saying that if we want to achieve something great in our life and be special, we should try to continuously set up goals in our life and set up an ambition as a journey for a thousand miles will always begin with a single step. So, we should take this new year as one such opportunity to set our goals straight and be more organized in life. The new year is like a new chapter in our book which we must write. The ball is in our court whether we want to try to make a good, happy and joyful chapter or a sad and sorrowful one.
