Pavendar Kazhagam-Kuwait organized its Kalam-62 as a special program “Pongal” (Tamil Harvest Festival) & “Traditional Food competition” on 05-01-2018 at Pavendar Arangam Mangaf, Kuwait. The program was anchored by Er.Rakeshwari & Kavi Sivamani.
The function commenced with Tamil Anthem by Mrs. Manjula, Mrs. Priya Kannan, Mrs. Rajadevi & Mrs. Rakeshwari.
The program was presided over by Mr.Sundaresan (Chief Chef, Hotel Saravanabavan,Kuwait) in the presence of Mr.K.Natarajan (President) and Mr.Vasu Ramanathan (General Secretary).
Mr.Padmanathan (Treasurer) welcomed the guest and participants. The program started with PVK “Kalapaadal” sung by Mrs.Manjula Duraisamy, “Thirukkural” enlightened by Mrs. Priya Kannan (Ex-P.R.S), “Mannisai” by Mrs. Manjula Duraisamy, Mr. Murugesan and Mr. Gangesh.
The Pongal Vizaha celebrated by our women wing Mrs. Priya Kannan, Mrs. Amuthavalli Manoharan and Mrs. Rajadevi Sattanathan.
The Traditional Food Competition started by the chief guest Mr. Sundaresan and all the participants were presented variety of tradition food enormously. The competition was well arranged and coordinated by Mrs. Rajadevi Sattanathan (Public Relation & Media Secretary).
Dr.Suthanthiradevi (Yoga & Natural Medicine) appreciated the participants and delivered wonderful speech about the valuable of our traditional food and strengthen the people who can survive with good health and peaceful life.
Followed by Kalam-63 on 20-01-2018 organized for the winner of traditional food competition. Mr. Abubacker Siddiq (Managing Partner – Supreme Cargo & Travels) chaired the function and Mr. Moh’d Gouse (Managing Partner-Velldon Real Promotors), Er. Inbatamizh Ilangovan (AGM-National Bank of Kuwait) and Er. Murugananthan (Founder - Makali Educational Trust) on dais. Kavi Abuthahir (Ex-President) welcomed the guest and participants. The chief guest appreciate PVK Committee Members to bring it back and make known our tradition food to the younger generation.
The winners of the competition announced by Mrs.Rajadevi Sattanathan who is the coordinator of the program. The 1st price (LED TV) won by Mrs.Ramaprabha, sponsored by Mr. Abubacker Siddiqui (Supreme Cargo & Travels), 2nd price (TAB) won by Mrs. Parveen, sponsored by Mr. Moh’d Gows (Velldon Real Promoters) and 3rd price (Android Mobile) won by Mrs. Kavipriya, sponsored by Mr. Sreenivan (Bollywood Restaurant). Consolation prizes given to all the participants attended the competition to encourage them, sponsored by our well-wishers.
Finally, 2018 calendar released by our guest and distributed. Other Tamil association presidents and representative attended the function. The program well organized by PVKK Committee Members. Vote of thanks given by Vasu Ramanathan (Gen. Sec).
The program comes to end with tradition food given with banana leaf.
