Sunday, March 18, 2018

Authorities deported around 29,000 expatriates in the year 2017 according to the report published by the local media. This figure roughly works out to 85

people per day.

Local report added that this is unlike in the past when the deportations were very slow.

According to the statistics provided by the authorities, the Indians topped the list, followed by the Egyptians, Filipinos and Ethiopians fourth respectively. The Bangladeshis occupied the fifth spot and the Sri Lankans sixth.

The report also added the people were deported for various reasons including those who were caught for violating the residence and labor laws, committing crimes, serious traffic violations and, fraud but a majority of them were deported for trafficking in drugs and alcohol.

Today they are deporting us but double of them are calling back as they know without expriates they cannot survive and expriates knows that they cannot survive without them. so this is reciprocal business. You deport say 1000 and bring back 2000. ,

Indians are the largest expats community in India which is close to 950 k. Sheer numbers make not much sense. I am sure Indians are way better than other nationalities in this respect.
