In connection with the 40th anniversary, Kerala Art Lovers Association, KALA Kuwait has announced the prestigious Balakalamela-2018 (Inter school cultural competitions for indian students) which will be held on May 4, 2018 at United Indian School, Abbassiya. Events will start at 7.30 am and results will be announced on the same day for all stage items. The school with highest aggregate point will be awarded with the “Ever Rolling Trophy” and Gold medals will be presented to the winners who are selected as 'Kalathilakam' and Kala prathiba'.
The competitions will be held for Bharthanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Group & Folk Dances, Music both Classical & Light, Recitation, Elocution, Mono Act etc., along with other literary items. Story telling and Fancy Dress competitions will be held for KG section. The competitions are open to Indian Student of Kuwait.
For smoothly conducting Balakalamela- 2018, different sub committees have been formed and started functioning with K.V.Nizar, as General Convener.
