Indian Embassy celebrated World Environment Day

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait celebrated World Environment Day on June 5th 2018 at the Embassy auditorium. The event was attended by over 200 students from various Indian Schools across Kuwait. The highlight of the day was the key note speech by eminent Kuwaiti environmentalist Mr. Bashar Al Huneidi on the topic 'Plastic Pollution'.

Students and teachers from Indian school appreciated the talk and Plastic Pollution and created awareness on the subject.

The event was concluded with free distribution of plant saplings to the participated students to be planted in their respective schools and residences.

World Environment Day occurs on the 5th of June every year, and is the United Nation's principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment. This year, India is the global host nation for the 43rd edition of the event with main theme ‘beat plastic pollution’.
