Kuwait’s crescent sighting authority announced that the first day of Eid Al-Fitr begins on Friday.

Speaking at a news conference on Thursday, head of the authority and chairman of Supreme Judicial Council Judge Youssef Al-Mutawa said that the crescent of Shawwal, the month that comes after the Holy Month of Ramadan, was observed Thursday.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, Bahrain and Jordan also declared that Eid Al-Fitr begins in their countries on Friday.
