Traffic department to cancel all license obtained illegally

Friday, July 13, 2018

General Traffic Department (GTD) has started reviewing and auditing the driving licenses of expatriates with the aim of cancelling the driving licenses that were issued illegally, reports local daily Arab Times citing Al-Shahed Arabic news paper.

According to report, license obtained through submission of fake certificates proving high qualifications, etc will be cancelled following the discovery of some forgery cases with the cooperation of Criminal Investigations Department.

The report also added that the General Traffic Department has prepared a plan for solving traffic congestion experienced throughout the country especially during the peak hours, revealing that a number of suggestions will be referred to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah.

They explained that these suggestions include preventing the registration of more than one car under one expatriate’s name, and cancelling issuance of licenses for very old vehicles.

The recommendations also include implementing road construction and improvement projects with the cooperation of Ministry of Public Works. In addition, the Engineering Section of General Traffic Department presented a recommendation for developing the infrastructure of streets and specifying bus stops.

Dear Sir/Mam,
I made the car license in 2014 and on that time my Position was (Post) as a Driver and after that I changed the co. and then they changed my position also but Traffic department cancelled my license for 2 years.
So if my co. again put my driver visa and then I can get easily the driving license after 2 years?
And kindly advise that there is compulsory to put the visa for 2 years OR 1 year enough for again make the driving license?
Please give reply for this matter.
I shall be very thankful to you,

If the licenses were issued illegally than who is to be blamed , public or the traffic authorities. Get hold of the authorities who issued those licences illegally. There is signature on the application form of passing the candidate for getting licence .They are waiting for what?

First government should provide bus facilities for all areas like hospitals and visiting parks and sea side. There is no bus from abbasia to doha or sharq tower or sea side areas... Pls consider this and reduce traffic
