Bharat KoJaniye Quiz 2018-19

In continuation to the Press Release of 28th May 2018 on Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz 2018-19, it has been decided by the Government of India to open participation in this competition to foreign citizens also.
In view of the above, the 1st round of the Bharat KoJaniye Quiz which was scheduled to be held in the Mission in July 2018 would now be held from 16 to 30 September, 2018. The cut-off date for registration process has also been extended till 15 September 2018.
The Online Quiz is open to youth (Non Resident Indians, Persons of Indian Origin and Foreign Citizens) between the age of 15 and 35 years as on 1st January 2019. (Born not before 1st January 1984 and not after 1st January 2004). Online registration for all the contestants participating in the online or offline Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz is mandatory.
The Quiz will be conducted in 4 rounds. The First round of the Quiz will be conducted by the Indian Missions/Posts abroad (which have been divided into six regions) online during 16th to 30th September 2018. The top three contenders/participants of the first round of the Quiz from each category of NRI & PIO as well as Foreign Citizens, who are eligible for the second round, will be given Medals by the Missions. The 2nd round of Online Quiz will be conducted by the Ministry online. The exact date and time of 2nd Round of the Quiz will be posted on the web portal The Semi-Final and Final Rounds of the Quiz will also be conducted by the Ministry in India.
The top 10 finalists from each category of NRI, PIO and Foreign Citizens will be invited to India for a 15-day Bharat Ko Janiye Yatra including a visit to Lakshadweep Union Territory. As per the tentative schedule of Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz- 2019, the prize giving ceremony for the winners of final round of the Quiz will be held during Pravasi Bhartiya Divas on 22 January 2019 at Varanasi. All eligible overseas Indian youth as well as Foreign Citizens residing in Kuwait are invited to register and take part in the Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz.
