Officers from the General Department for Residency Security arrested 50 beggars and hawkers during a security campaign that they launched in all six governorate.
According to report, these beggars were arrested from commercial complexes and in front of mosques. They were caught begging under the claim of suffering from diseases and having no money for treatment.
They have been referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action followed by deportation.
