Monday, October 8, 2018

The government is working on a draft law that will regulate the social media and combat fake accounts, local daily Arab Times reported citing Al-Jarida Arabic daily.

According to report, the draft law will define the competent authority whose task will be to identify the owners of electronic accounts on all social media networks, particularly the news section.

The aim is to hold responsible those who promote rumors and post disturbing reports. This is in addition to controlling the abusive messages in the name of freedom press and media.
