Telangana Chaitanya Sravanthi celebrated Picnic / Vanabhojanam - 2018

Telangana Chaitanya Sravanthi, Kuwait celebrated their family picnic / vanabhojanam on 7th December 2018 at Reggaie park, Kuwait in end of karthika masam. It was a grand success attended by over 150 persons that included members, and their families along with children. It was a picnic cum sports day which all the families and friends enjoyed having great fun, outdoor recreation and fantastic food arrangements.

All the sports activities were planned and conducted jointly by the TCS Council and TCS Ladies committee, who started the proceedings by welcoming all the attendees. The President Mr.Kondal Reddy followed by Vice President Mr. Origanti Ramesh, welcomed the gathering and officially declared the Sports Meet Open beginning with the Lemon Spoon race for children with groups of Class 1 to 5 and 6 to 10. The same race was extended to the lady members as well, who participated with lot of enthusiasm.

It was followed by men games beginning with the Tug of War between teams of all ages, throw ball and dodge ball was played with players displaying their in born traditional skills, courage and experience. Sports In-charges A.Kondal Reddy, Laxma Reddy, Gurram Preveen and A Sanjeev and others arranged all the equipment and conducted the events smoothly.

Following the lunch, the members and their families settled to play more but less physical games likes speed chess, mind games. It is extraordinary that TCS Kuwait conducts this speed chess every year and the girls, boys, men and women participate with great competitive spirit and lovely sporting manner.

Simultaneously the Ladies and Children participated in the Musical Chairs, three legged couple race and Dodge Ball. Ladies and children games were conducted by the Ladies Committee under the leadership of Smt. Bhanu Sudha and other committed women volunteers. It was followed by another couple game of blind folded women finding their spouse standing at far distance. It was a great fun. It was followed by the Hair Band tying competition on the hairy scalps of their husbands. Last but not the least was the Know Your Spouse competition wherein all the couples had to answer the same set of ten questions. It was a great surprise that many couples scored perfect tens showing immense harmonious relationship.

The members were treated to a grand delicious lunch during the break served by M/s Konasema Restaurant. The items were relished by all as the food had enough variety, taste and flavor that included both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes topped by mouth watering sweets. In the evening break during chilly wintery conditions the members enjoyed a assortment of snacks and hot tea, also served by the same caterers.

Finally, the members played a game of Housie (Tambola / Bingo), which was well conducted by Mr. Kondal Reddy, Mr.Origanti Remesh and Mr. Sanjeev and ably assisted by others. The prizes were distributed by all the our former President, Mr. Srinivas Vaidyula. Seeing the enthusiasm of children, women and men of all ages, it is worth conducting such outings regularly, especially for children and families who enjoyed basking under a bright mild sunshine in a moderate winter conditions in a spacious park.

Vote of Thanks on behalf of the Executive Council was given by the Joint Secretary (Communications) Mr. A. Sanjeev thanking all the volunteers who helped to make this event a grand success. Overall, it was a great event filled with fun and frolic. In a span of few weeks after the Diwali program – the event of TCS Kuwait involving a large gathering of its members.
