KIPS Celebrated “Read Around the World”

Sunday, December 16, 2018

Kids International Preschool organized its Annual “Reading week” from 9th December’18 to 13th December’18. The theme for this year was “Read around the World” which signifies the importance of reading and how it can transport us to a different world be it realistic or imaginative. To stress on the same point we set up the reading room for the event which was inaugurated by the School Director of IISM Mr.Malayil Moosa Koya who shared his love for reading and writing and educated the tiny tots on how the knowledge derived from books is a source to increase ones imagination, creativity, intelligence and vocabulary.

The week long activity commenced with the tiny tots flipping through the pages of their favorite book and creating their own story. As the main highlight of our event we invited a “Grandmom – a person who is a little bit of parent, a little bit of teacher and a little bit of best friend” to narrate a story for our young learners. Memorable moments of the tiny tots were creatively displayed in the form of a scrap book “Down the memory lane” in our reading room. Every participant performed well in the Quiz and the Impromptu speech which encouraged and motivated them to bring out their confidence, inner potential, talent and creativity in their speech. On the final day of the event the tiny buddies dressed up in traditional costume of a country of their choice and spoke in native language.

The entire week comprised of activities that was illuminating, filled with fun, education and zest for curiosity. This would not have been possible without the support and guidance of the Principal Mrs.Nilofar Qazi and Vice Principal Mrs.Gayathri Bhaskaran who are always rendering help wherever and whenever necessary. KIPS teachers who were the Ambassadors of this event decorated the venue which stimulated the thought waves of our tiny tots, ending in success stories and accomplishments. Kudos to the parents also who motivated and encouraged our tiny buddies for actively participating in all the activities.
