Court ordered to pay passenger KD 650 compensation for delay in flight

Monday, December 17, 2018

Court of First Instance ordered an airline company to pay KD 650 to a citizen in compensation for damage caused by delay of his flight, which was scheduled to depart to Cairo, Egypt.

Representing the citizen, Attorney Abdul-Mohsin Al-Qattan argued that his client had booked an afternoon flight (1:40 pm) which ended up departing at 8 pm without the carrier taking any necessary measure toward its passengers, an act that disrupted his client’s plans and caused him emotional damage.

He added that his client had to wait for more than six hours without knowing the departure schedule to his destination, while personnel of the carrier failed to provide information or even appease the passengers during the period.

Only one passenger in the flight to travel! Or is it only for the individual who has taken the case to the courts of the land?
Many flights with many passengers face such problems of delay and waiting in the airports with no solution available to the common people who do not have to run to and fro with the authorities. It is only for the people who pay to police and courts who get such benefits in their situations. Better to help yourself when other do not help you due to their policies in the situations.

could you please share the lawyer''s phone number. It happened number of times at kuwait airport- especially kuwait airways. they even refused to give any information when the flight will be. they just shouted- come tomorrow. not informing the reason or an apology or any information about the next flight. need the lawyer number to file case in case if it happens again.

This type of court verdict is already there in India. Please do not spread false news. The delay rates in Air India is much less than compared to that of many other airlines

If this type of court verdict happens in India, Air India would be already bankrupt
